Commission approves Wyoming Downs horse race betting in three locations
Natrona County Commission approved applications for pari-mutuel wagering at three establishments. Wyoming Downs will have to submit a feasibility study to the Wyoming Gaming Commission. The commission rescinded blanket approvals for gambling in the county in March of 2021. The company's existing betting sites generated about $2.7 million for Casper and NatronA County in 2021, according to Traci Lacock. It employs 32 people in Caspe. 45% of the profits from the company are split between the city and county. Another 45%. goes to a school foundation program account.
