Cricket League: Damani seek to continue charge, Wanderers desperate for a win

Damani will seek to extend its unbeaten run to 3 games when they meet Partidar in the Jazz Safari Cricket League at Kyambogo.

The stakes are highly in favor of Damani given that Partidar has failed to live up its usual standards this season.

Tornado B will take on unpredictable Kutchi Tigers at the lakeside oval in Entebbe. The fixture ended in a controversial circumstances last season but two wins in a row should give Jeremy and his team lots of confidence going into this game.

KICC will be battling Nile at Lugogo in a game where the former is odds on favorite. KICC might have lost to Damani in their first game of the season but they are a very balanced team with chances of winning the title.

In Division 2, Wanderers has a lot of work to do having lost their opening two games to SKPLS and Premier. They take on familiar foe ACC in Buddo in a game of either so many runs or few runs. Wanderers will be missing the services of John Ilukor and Nirav Hathi who have work commitments.

Ahead of the game, big hitting Micheal Nuwagaba of Wanderers said;

We have made it hard for ourselves to gain promotion and from our position now we have to win on Sunday. We have a lot of belief as a team and whoever falls in our ambush will tell a story.

Otherwise the break has given us a good reflection of what we need to do and we have been working on it in the nets.

Strikers will take on Jinja SS in Jinja in another Division 2 game on Sunday.

In Division 3, two heavyweights Kampala Pirates and Nyakasura face off on Saturday in Buddo. Nyakasura with 2 wins in a row should be high on confidence.

Buddo will seek to get back to winning ways when they take on JACC in Jinja.
