Cricket: Ross Taylor returns as Black Caps face tough start to World Test Championship title defence against India
Ross Taylor has been out of action for five months. He will play for New Zealand against India in the first of two tests starting Thursday afternoon in Kanpur. The Black Caps won the World Test Championship five month ago. They are without Devon Conway, Colin de Grandhomme and Trent Boult. The spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel have a combined 470 wickets at an average of 20.97. India have world-class spinners. New Zealander's batting lineup has only three players with experience playing in Indian conditions.
