Dan Hurley, UConn men need to win NCAA tournament game

Dan Hurley took over the UConn basketball team in March 2018. The team has gone from losing seasons to winning the national championship in the last 24 years. But the team lost in first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2021 and 2022. Fans want to see the program win an NCAA tournament this season. Hurly knows his job is not in jeopardy. . He won't be fired. It's unlikely for several years to come. The program won a five-seed in 2022, which was the best seed the school has had in a long time. They won the league in 2011.

Dan Hurley's UConn team is going to the NCAA tournament for the third straight year. The pressure will be high for them. Hurly has had success in the first round in both 2017 and 2018. Rhode Island won the tournament in 2017. Kentucky didn't qualify for this year's tournament. Providence had won just one game in 25 years. Jim Calhoun brought Uconn to NCAA tourney 18 times and was bounced from the opening round twice. Kevin Ollie won at least one match both times he brought the team to Big Dance. He won a national championship in 2014. U.S. men's team won't be playing in this tournament, but they will play in other tournaments.
