UConn is the consensus betting favorite by the latest Big East Tournament odds, according to the college basketball odds.

In a season defined by unpredictability and chaos, UConn has weathered the storm and remains the favorite to repeat by the latest March Madness odds. Oddsmakers like the Huskies' chances of winning this week's Big East Tournament, too.

Who is the Big East Tournament favorite?

The Huskies are the consensus favorites by just about every market you check, so it only makes sense that they'd be dealing as the heavy favorite to win the Big East Tournament.

UConn lost to eventual champion Marquette in last year's Big East tourney before ripping off six double-digit wins in the NCAA Tournament for its first championship since 2014. This year's team is arguably even better, especially on the offensive end, with senior Tristen Newton and transfer Cam Spencer leading the way.

The one concern with betting the Huskies to win their conference tournament is whether they'll be all that motivated to win it, considering their body of work in the regular season likely secures a No. 1 seed in March Madness. You may be better off taking their Final Four odds at a better price given the elite talent in this conference.

Big East Tournament odds 2024: Contender

Creighton (+450 via bet365)

Marquette opened with the second-shortest odds in this market, but Creighton has taken over that spot as the only team to beat UConn in the last two months - and it did so rather convincingly.

The Bluejays built an early lead and never relented in an 85-66 win on Feb. 20, with four double-digit scorers guiding this team to a ridiculous 1.44 points per possession. That's the kind of scoring efficiency that can lead a team to a national title, let alone a conference crown.

Of course, Creighton's offense looked nothing like that in its 62-48 loss to UConn on Jan. 17, and its defense was the culprit in two subsequent losses in February. There's some volatility to stomach here, but at this price, it's worth a shot.

Big East Tournament odds 2024: Long shot

Villanova (+2000 via FanDuel)

When we first gave out Villanova as a 22/1 long shot, the Wildcats hadn't yet lost back-to-back games to end the season. Now they're dealing at even shorter odds than before heading into the Big East tourney.

That speaks to the volatility of this group, which lost five straight games in January but beat North Carolina and Creighton earlier this season. Villanova also lost by just one point against UConn on Jan. 20 and nearly rallied from a 24-point deficit in an eventual two-point loss to Creighton in the regular-season finale.

Nearly half of the Wildcats' shot attempts come from long range, which makes them the ultimate wild card in a single-elimination format. This team could easily lose in its tournament opener, but it could win the whole thing, too.

2024 Big East Tournament bracket

Top-seeded UConn opens postseason play in Thursday's quarterfinals against the winner of Butler vs. Xavier. If they advance, the Huskies would take on either Seton Hall or St. John's in Friday's semifinals before the tournament final on Saturday.

On the other side, Creighton and Marquette appear to be on a collision course to meet in the semifinals, though they'll have to get past the likes of Villanova, Providence, Georgetown, and DePaul before then.
