DeBrincat defies odds, honored to represent Blackhawks at All-Star Game

At 5-foot-7 and 165 pounds, Alex DeBrincat was considered too small to play in the NHL. He played for Erie of the OHL and his production was due to his linemates, Connor McDavid and Dylan Strome.

Alex DeBrincat is going to the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Feb. 5. He is one of the most productive scorers in the NHL this season, scoring 145 goals since the start of 2017-18. Debrincats is 5-foot-7 and 165 pounds. He has scored 265 points in 331 games since his rookie season. Patrick Kane thinks De Brincet is the best player in his position. The forward is passionate about the game. "He's one to watch," says Kane. It's an honor to represent the Chicago Blackhawks. They play the All Star Game on February 5th at 3 p.m. ET.

DeBrincat signed a three-year, $19.2 million contract on Oct. 3, 2019. He has one season left on the contract. DeBrinciat is confident in his abilities.
