Despite Medical Scare, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr Teammate Does the Unthinkable in Big Saudi Pro League Win Over Al Ahli

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al Nassr got back to winning ways in their last match against Al Ahli. In what was a high-scoring and intense match Al Nassr eventually won 4-3 on the night. Braces from both Cristiano Ronaldo and Talisca gave Al Nassr the 3 points, after Al Ahli almost mounted a comeback. However, one particular player played through sickness, something which was definitely unexpected.

Al Nassr’s Otavio Monteiro or simply Otavio, was actually ill with high fever but still managed to play on the pitch for more time than advised, despite his illness. This was rather brave and unexpected; something even the media and Al Nassr’s fans saluted.

Ahead of the game against Al Ahli, doctors advised Otavio to only play for 60 minutes or less. However, the Portuguese attacking midfielder defied the odds and his doctors and ended up staying on the pitch for over 80 minutes. This was a remarkable feat and one that drew plaudits from the Saudi media and the Al Nassr fans.

However, in spite of being ill, Otavio was involved in the opening goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo against Al Ahli.

The first goal of the game came early in the game in the 3rd minute. Otavio climbed highest in midfield to pounce on the ball to somehow head it into the path of Sadio Mane.

Ronaldo then scored another in the 52nd minute again with his weaker foot, to shoot past Al Ahli goalkeeper Edouard Mendy after a swift turn just outside the box. Talisca’s brace also helped Al Nassr score 4 on the night as CR7’s team finished the game winning 4-3.
