Early College World Series Odds (2022)

The 2022 College Baseball World Series is shaping up to be an exciting year. The top two teams will be the contenders in the odds list.

Texas is the early favorite to win the 2022 College World Series. Texas has 37 College Series appearances, 12 more than the next team (Miami). They have been able to turn 6 of those appearances into championship titles. Vanderbilt is next on the list after Texas, having been in the past two College Womens Series, but they could not win in 2021.

Mississippi State won the 2021 College World Series. They were the 7th seed out of 8. Last year they upset the 2nd seeded Texas Longhorns and the 6th seeded Virginia Cavaliers. In the last round they beat the 4th-seeded Vanderbilt Commodores. Will Bednar won Most Outstanding Player. Tanner Allen, Rowdy Jordan, Eric Cerantola, Christian McLeod, and WillBednar were taken in the MLB Draft.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are 2021 NCAA College World Series Champions.

The Texas Longhorns are the favorite to win the 2022 College World Series. They lost Ty Madden to the MLB Draft and many other players to other teams. However, they have a great pitching rotation, returning players, and a very talented collective group. They were eliminated by Mississippi State last year. The team is currently the leader in the odds. Texas is also the preseason All-Big 12 team.

The Detroit Tigers drafted Ty Madden from the University of Texas with the 32nd pick in the 2021 MLB draft.

Vanderbilt made the College World Series for the past two years. They lost some talented players in the 2021 MLB Draft. Kumar Rockar will not be returning after failing to sign with the Mets. Carter Young will be an entertaining player to watch this year. He hit .252/.341/.559 with 16 home runs last season.

Arkansas Razorbacks were ranked No.1 in the country from Week 8 until Week 15. They lost to North Carolina State in a super regional and didn't make it to the tournament. Kevin Kopps, Christian Franklin, Ryan Costeiu, Casey Opitz, Patrick Wicklander, Lael Lockhart, Caden Monke, and Charlie Welch lost. Elijah Trest was drafted by the Rockies but he will be back with Arkansas this year. Robert Moore is one of the highest-ranked prospects in college baseball.

LSU Tigers didn't make the 2021 College World Series. They lost two players to the MLB Draft. Last season they were eliminated by Tennessee in the Knoxville Super Regional. This year they have a young roster but some experienced players. Jacob Berry, Cade Doughty, Tre Morgan, Blake Money, and more will lead the charge for the Tigers this season.

The 2022 college baseball season is going to be exciting. Texas is a safe bet for the favorites, but some teams can take them down like last year's Mississippi State. Miami won the college football World Series in 1999.
