Eduardo poised for another epic showdown with Nature Strip

Eduardo and Nature Strip are going to meet in Saturday's The Everest at Royal Randwick. Eduardo has beaten Nature strip in the last 12 times.

Eduardo is the oldest horse in The Everest field. He has beaten Nature Strip three times at Randwick. The last time they met over the Randwil 1200m Nature strip won. Joe Pride's horse is in peak condition for Saturday's race. Nash Rawiller is only jockey to have won on Eduardo in more than three years. It's almost impossible to win without Nash. Pride would like to meet Naturestrip over 1200 metres at Rosehill. They are not about to move The Mount Everest.   “They are not machines and maybe Nature Stripe might have an off day and we are going there with a horse that has the best chance to beat him”.

Eduardo and Private Eye will race in The Everest on Saturday. Private eye's best runs have been off a fast tempo. Eduardo came fourth behind Nature Strip in the Shorts last start. Pride watched Eduard's barrier trial last Friday and is confident he can bounce back from that defeat. The barrier draw will take place on Tuesday. The odds for The Mount Everest are $13, $15 and $6 respectively.
