Egyptian anger over hosting of African Champions League final in Morocco
Egypt is angry about the African Champions League final being held in Morocco. Al-Ahly want the game to be played in a neutral venue. Egypt's football governing body is ready to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Egypt are scheduled to play Guinea in Cairo on June 2. The match is the opening game of qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. It will take place 48 hours after the final. EFA board member, Amer Hussein, thinks the decision was made late. He thinks it would have been better to announce it early during the tournament. Africa has not yet finished the semifinals of its Champions league.
