EMU vs Kent State, Miami (OH) vs NIU, Western Michigan vs Central Michigan

Wednesday is a busy day for Mid-American Conference football games. Eastern Michigan visits Kent State at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Northern Illinois hosts Miami (Ohio) at 7 p.,m., and Western Michigan travels to Central Michigan at 8 p,m.. ET.

Eastern Michigan and Kent State are both finishing the regular season on good notes. Eastern Michigan secured its fifth bowl appearance in the last six years and just seventh overall. Kent state has won two of its last three games. Last week, the Golden Flashes beat Bowling Green 40-6. They have won six of the seven games against Eastern. They won the previous meeting 27-23 at home.

Eastern Michigan is a favorite to beat Kent State.

Miami has lost three of its last four games. The RedHawks lost 37-21 at home to Ohio last week. Mac Hippenhammer has 41 catches this season for 551 yards and 7 touchdowns. Northern Illinois beat Western Michigan 24- 21 on the road. True freshmen Nevin Cremascoli and Jaiden Credle made their first starts. Crelle was a workhorse with 36 carries for 136 yards. Justin Lynch scored the game-winning touchdown. Miami has beaten Northern Illini in each of the last two meetings.

EMU, Kent State, Miami (OH) vs. NIU and Western Michigan vs Central Michigan are on the schedule. Northern Illinois is a minus-110 favorite.

Western Michigan lost to Northern Illinois for the fourth time in five games. Central Michigan beat Buffalo 31-27 for its second straight win. Bert Emanuel Jr. rushed for 293 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. The Chippewas beat Western Michigan 42-30 last season. They are playing well but covering a double-digit spread is ambitious.
