England vs. Australia Ashes Third Test Information

Despite the eye-popping heroics of skipper Ben Stokes, England agonisingly lost the Second Ashes Test as Australia took a 2-0 Series lead with three matches left to play.

We barely have time to catch our breath with the Third Test honing into view this week.

Below we look at when and where the next match will take place, how to watch the action, the latest match and series odds, as well as the team news.

After a brief break, the Ashes returns at 11am on Thursday 6th July with the Third Test running through until Monday 10th.

Where is the Third Ashes Test being held?

Two Ashes Tests have whizzed by in the blink of an eye and, while it's been incredibly enthralling, England find themselves 2-0 down following defeats at Edgbaston and Lord's.

Ben Stokes and co will be hoping for a sprinkling of fortune in Leeds at Headingley, a famous venue drenched in iconic moments such as the Stokes and Jack Leach partnership back in 2019 which saw England conjure up a dramatic win.

Another win at Headingley will put England on the board at 1-2, however a defeat or draw will see the Aussies retain the Urn.

How to watch England vs Australia Third Test Match?

The Third Ashes Test will be screened live on Sky Sports Cricket from 10.15am every morning, with the first ball bowled at 11am.

Australia head into the Third Test as the favourites to extend their winning run to three matches in this series, with most bookmakers pricing the visitors up at 11/10 to claim the victory.

England will wonder how they are 2-0 down after two dramatic Test matches so far. They desperately need a win here and can be backed at 13/8 to claim the spoils.

Meanwhile, a draw can be backed at 18/5.

You probably won't be too surprised to learn that Australia are now as short as 1/8 to win the Ashes following their wins at Edgbaston and Lord's.

England have drifted out to the double-figure price of 10/1, which is the same odds as a draw.

As has been the case before the previous two Test matches, we expect England to name their team the day before the game. Changes are likely to be made following another defeat.

This was their line-up in the previous test:

Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes *, Jonathan Bairstow +, Stuart Broad, Ollie Robinson, Josh Tongue, James Anderson.

Australia will also look to make at least one change due to the injury to Nathan Lyon. Their line-up to the second test was as follows:

David Warner, Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, Akex Carey, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
