England and Australia will renew hostilities in the 2023 Ashes this summer and it’s got the potential to be one of the best series ever.

The rejuvenated hosts are flying with their swashbuckling Bazball approach and even managed to just about edge past Ireland by 10 wickets in their first Test of the summer at the start of June.

Australia are always a fearsome opponent and warm up with a stern test in the ICC World Test Championship final against India at The Oval.

The Aussies are the current holders of sport’s most comical trophy and will retain it if the series is drawn, but given England’s do-or-die approach it feels like it will be won outright one way or the other.

Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne will be key wickets for England’s classy but ageing attack and with Moeen Ali back in the fold there’s plenty to get excited about this summer.
