Epicenter won the $1.25 million Run Happy Travers Stakes at Saratoga. He won by five lengths over Cyberknife, Zandon and Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike. Arrogate finished last. He broke the Traver's speed record in his masterful 1:59.36 run in 2016. Some challengers will remain in the chase through the fall to the Nov. 5 Breeders’ Cup Classic. The winner will be crowned Champion Three-year-old Male Eclipse Award winner.

Malathaat won the 75th running of the Personal Ensign. Letruska faded and was caught by Malatha at the finish line. Clairiere was the favorite but she fell behind and finished last. The horse won late under Joel Rosario. It was part of the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You” Challenge series for an expenses-paid gate in the Breeder‘s Cup Turf (G1).
