EPL predictions and odds for the Premier League season finale: Bet on Southampton in our Room 4-4-2 soccer picks

Each week, the crew from our partners at Room 4-4-2 will be sharing a wager they fancy ahead of the weekend action on the pitch.

From West Ham to Southhampton, we have no shortage of picks for this weekend’s English Premier League slate.

Below are this week’s EPL predictions and odds for Matchday 38.

Pick: West Ham to beat Leicester (+265)

Although this is literally a must-win game for Leicester, they have been playing must-win games for the past month, and have failed over and over.

One win in their last 16 has them in this predicament, but even more alarming has been the complete lack of fight under Dean Smith.  

West Ham are assured their survival for another season, and although have nothing to play for here, do have the Conference League final to look forward to, and with that not being until June 7th, expect David Moyes to field as strong a side as possible against the Foxes.

Pick: Everton + Under 2.5 goals (+320)

Since the English Premier League came to be in 1992, Everton have never been relegated and this year they’ll avoid it again!

Everton play Bournemouth in the final game of the Premier League with everything on the line for The Toffees. Sean Dyche has been brought in to salvage this side and they currently sit 17th in the league, so even if they lose, as long as Leicester and Leeds lose as well, they’re safe.

But that is too risky, so it’s a win and you’re in mentality. Playing Bournemouth is not a bad team to line up against in their final match. Bournemouth has had a turnaround this season under Gary O’Neil, but they have nothing left to play for, already sealing their spot in the league, losing their last 3 games in the Premier League.

At Goodison Park, The Toffees need a win in front of their fans and with Bournemouth halfway on holiday, this match is only going one way.

Leeds vs. Tottenham (via Albert Vartanian, @AlbertVartanian)

Pick: Harry Kane to score (-103)

Harry Kane is a goal machine that keeps on cashing.

The Tottenham man has found the back of the net 28 times this Premier League season which is second only to Erling Haaland. He became the first player ever to score in 25 matches this season.

In total, Kane has scored against all but three of Spurs’ 19 league opponents this season. Oh, and he’s also on a run of 12 goals in his last 13 appearances across all competitions.

The Spurs legend is in incredible form and on Sunday his Spurs side visits Leeds United in what could be his final match in a Tottenham shirt.

Add that potential motivation for him to go out with a bang and Leeds’ awful defensive record - which is the worst in the Premier - and another Harry Kane goal will certainly be on the cards

Pick: Southampton to beat Liverpool (+550)

Let me preface this by saying that this is a long shot, but it’s also the type of match to go for a big-money play.

Southampton’s fate is signed, sealed, and delivered. The Saints are going down next season – the end of an 11-year run in the Premier League. It’s the end of an era, and Sunday’s match could be the final chance for supporters in attendance at St. Mary’s to see a lot of their players, including club legend James Ward-Prowse.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have taken 22 of their last 24 points in the league as they tried to make a late push into the top four, but they learned after Manchester United’s win over Chelsea on Thursday that they will finish fifth this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side knows their fate in the league, have already had their send-off at Anfield, and will likely be looking to turn the page on this season as quickly as possible. Crazier things have happened.
