Football Accumulator Tips for This Weekend (28 May 2023)

The Premier League season will conclude on Sunday with some crucial clashes at the bottom in particular.

Two relegation places will be filled this weekend, with only one of the three teams involved in the basement battle able to survive.

A £10 wager on our three-leg acca would pay out £54.51, while the same stake on our five-leg version offers a potential return of £131.23.

Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur: Harry Kane to score any time (21/20)

Because of how poorly his team have fared, Harry Kane’s individual excellence this season has gone a little under the radar.

The England international has scored 28 goals heading into the final weekend. A brace at Elland Road would see Kane equal his tally from 2017/18, his most prolific campaign yet.

That Tottenham side of five years ago was far superior to the current one, so Kane’s achievements are hugely impressive.

There is a decent chance that Sunday’s match in Elland Road will be the striker’s final appearance for his boyhood club.

The game matters more to Leeds, who must win to have any chance of survival. But Kane will be desperate to make his mark in case this is indeed the last time he pulls on a Spurs shirt.

Leeds have conceded the most goals in the Premier League this season, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Tottenham’s talisman.

  • Choose Harry Kane to score any time at 21/20 with bet365.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Over 2.5 goals (4/7)

Arsenal must avoid defeat at the City Ground to keep their Premier League title hopes alive, but in truth the race is already over.

Manchester City only need to win one of their last three matches to get their hands on the prize, with Arsenal now set to finish second.

Mikel Arteta’s men looked physically and mentally drained last weekend, when they suffered a 3-0 home defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.

They may find it hard to get themselves up for this encounter now that the championship is out of reach.

Nottingham Forest have everything to play for in their battle against the drop. Three more points would probably be enough for them to survive.

Forest’s last five matches have contained 23 goals, while Arsenal’s defence has struggled of late. This should be an entertaining affair.

  • Choose over 2.5 goals at 4/7 with bet365.

Leicester City vs West Ham United: Leicester to win (19/20)

Leicester are still fighting for their Premier League lives.

A dogged performance at St James’ Park on Monday night yielded a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United which could yet be decisive.

The task for Leicester is simple: they must beat West Ham and hope for a favour from Bournemouth against Everton.

If the Foxes triumph and the Toffees slip up, Leicester will preserve their top-tier status against the odds.

West Ham are ideal opponents. David Moyes will probably rest a number of key players ahead of the Europa Conference League final.

Even if the Scot picks his strongest side, West Ham minds will surely be elsewhere given they have nothing left to play for domestically.

Leicester have won only one of their seven games under Dean Smith, but we believe they will get the job done on Sunday. Whether that will be enough to stay up remains to be seen.

  • Back Leicester to win at 19/20 with bet365.

Add the following two bets to make it a 5-fold acca.

Everton vs Bournemouth: Everton to win (4/9)

Everton are the favourites to avoid relegation. They are the only side at the bottom who have their fate in their own hands. Beat Bournemouth and the job is done.

Things are not always that simple at Goodison Park, however. If Leicester were to storm into an early lead against West Ham, it is easy to envisage anxiety creeping in on Merseyside.

Everton’s record in front of their own supporters is not as good as one might expect. They sit 18th in the home table but 15th in the away equivalent.

Still, there are not many kinder fixtures than Bournemouth at home with which to conclude the campaign.

That is not a slight on the Cherries, but the fact they have nothing riding on this fixture means they could struggle to match Everton’s intensity.

  • Add an Everton victory to your acca at 4/9 with bet365.

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest: Over 2.5 goals (4/6)

The pressure is off for Nottingham Forest, who secured survival with a 1-0 defeat of Arsenal last weekend.

The visiting fans at Selhurst Park will be in party mode, with the result an irrelevance to the general mood.

Crystal Palace will also be able to play with freedom on account of their position in mid-table.

Given the wider context, goals could be on the cards in this one. Neither team has much of an incentive to keep things tight and avoid risks, which should encourage some attacking football.

The goals market is therefore worthy of exploration - and we reckon there will be three or more.

  • Go for over 2.5 goals in south London at 4/6 with bet365.
