Borussia Monchengladbach to win at Union Berlin @ 21/10

Both teams have disappointed in the Bundesliga so far, which is a particular surprise for hosts Union Berlin who qualified for the Champions League for the first time following their fourth-placed finish last season. However, they are currently rooted to the foot of the table following a winless run in all competitions since August 26. Monchengladbach have won three of the previous five league matches, including a 2-1 victory over Hoffenheim last weekend to climb to 10th, and look good value to see off a struggling Union outfit for the first of our European football tips.

Monaco to win at Rennes @ 7/4

Monaco are hot on the heels of Ligue 1 leaders Paris St Germain, sitting six points adrift following a brilliant start to the season. They are third in the table and their three defeats have all been against fellow top-four teams, while they have generally been ruthless against the rest if the division. Rennes have been juggling Europa League and domestic football this season, which has possibly played a part in them losing five of their last seven league games. They are 12th in the table and look uneasy favourites on Saturday.

AC Milan to win at Atalanta @ 37/20

Milan are hoping to return to winning ways on their travels after letting 2-0 half-time leads slip in their recent draws at Napoli and Lecce. Those draws, which came either side of a shock home defeat to Udinese, have seen Rossoneri drop to third in the Serie A table behind arch-rivals Inter and Juventus. They have bounced back with two home victories since the international break, but come up against a dangerous Atalanta side, especially in Bergamo. Gian Piero Gasperini’s attacking style has brought plenty of success for Atalanta in recent years, but they have lost three of their last four matches in the league. Milan will need to maintain their momentum to make up the six-point gap to their city rivals at the top and can pile more misery on La Dea.

Real Sociedad to win at Villarreal @ 23/20

It should be an entertaining tie as Villarreal host Real Sociedad after both sides secured places in the knockout stages of European football last week. Villarreal currently sit second in their Europa League group, but it appears to have affected their domestic campaign as they sit mid-table with 16 points after 15 games. Sociedad are doing much better in sixth and have booked their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League. They will buoyed by their reasonable away form, where they have only lost at the two Madrid clubs. On the other hand, Villarreal have lost five of their seven matches at Estadio de la Ceramica in La Liga this season, so Erreala will be confident of taking away three points.

Sporting Lisbon to win at Guimaraes @ 7/10

Sporting endured their first league defeat of the season last time out at league leaders Benfica so will be looking to get back to winning ways at Guimaraes. The Lisbon outfit have won eight of the last nine head-to-head meetings between the two sides, drawing the other. Guimaraes have been strong at home, picking up 12 points from their six league matches. However, Sporting should be too strong and continue their title tilt with another victory as the last of our European football tips for Saturday.
