Evan Rodrigues’ versatility is a perfect fit for the Avalanche
Evan Rodrigues signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Colorado Avalanche. Rodrigue had a breakout season in Pittsburgh last year, scoring 19 goals and adding 24 assists. He can play center or wing and is versatile enough to play in many different positions. He will compete with fellow free agent J.T. Newhook for a second-line center position. The Avalanche lost Nazem Kadri to Calgary in free agency. They need players with versatility and adaptability. It's a good fit for the Avalanche coach Jared Bednar.
