Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has got Everton in his sights

Buy yourself a share or two in the booming Bukayo Saka.

Your investment could go down as well as up, of course, and might be worth sod-all by 7pm, but I’ve seen worse punts.

Over at Goodison Park, it doesn’t matter whether 777 Partners – ‘the Miami-based investment platform’ – have any genuine interest in the beautiful game or not, they probably won’t be getting one today.

What a change in Everton’s ownership might mean to the players ahead of the visit of Arsenal (4.30pm) is anyone’s guess.

But I can’t see Sean Dyche roaring about debt-to-equity ratios in his pre-match giddy-up.

This is a war, and if it’s not, his Toffees could be in trouble. The bookings lines have been lifted as a result and look high. But Everton’s young Jarrad Branthwaite could still be value at 9/2 (Unibet) ‘shown a card’ if starting.

Saka, semi-rested for England, will see coin-flip fans get a fair spin from the general 10/11 ‘anytime scorer or assist’. Worldie hunters should get some bang for their buck with Martin Odegaard ’scores from outside box’ at 9/1 (Hills).

A billion pounds doesn’t buy you what it used to, granted, but Chelsea’s splurging under Todd Boehly is in danger of making lettuce-headed liability Liz Truss look like a model of fiscal continence.

The Blues go to Bournemouth (2pm) in poor shape. But £106million Enzo Fernandes can still prove a bargain if starting – 9/2 (Unibet) ‘anytime scorer’ and 13/2 (Paddy) ‘anytime assist’ are big.

Nottingham Forest need to keep their heads for the visit of Burnley (7.45pm, tomorrow). Rob Jones - whose VAR work at Old Trafford brought a formal complaint from Forest - is on the whistle, but that should not distract them from giving the Clarets’ backline heavy aerial bombardment.

Taiwo Awonyi is an ‘anytime scorer’ fit at 9/5 (Paddy) and ‘scores a header’ looks right at 10/1 (Betway).

Jude Bellingham’s flying for club and country – take 11/5 (Paddy) he scores for Real Madrid when Real Sociedad visit (8pm, La Liga).
