Ex-Liverpool manager's daughter wins huge 350/1 bet from Reds humiliating Man Utd

The daughter of an ex-Liverpool manager made an absolute killing with a bet she placed on the Reds' 7-0 thumping of Manchester United.

Stacey Evans, daughter of Roy Evans, went full on Nostradamus after predicting a massive win for her father's former team, and very nearly got the scoreline bang on.

She stuck £5 on a 6-0 Liverpool win, at odds of 350-1, and cashed out to win a whopping £1,350 when the sixth goal went in. Taking to Twitter afterwards, an elated Stacey wrote: "What a win! GET IN RED MEN!!!! And When you cash out at all the right times," followed by several champagne glass emojis.

A screenshot of her betting slip revealed she also cashed out on a bet that Jurgen Klopp's side would win the game 5-0, for a further £280, and did the same for a bet predicting a 4-0 win, which returned an extra £97.

Furthermore, she claims to have cashed out on the 6-0 bet "15 seconds" before Roberto Firmino netted Liverpool's seventh, however there was tinge of misfortune amidst her lucky streak.

In another tweet, Stacey says she regularly bets on "big results" and claims she would have put money on a 7-0 scoreline, but sadly the option wasn't offered.

Stacey's Bootle-born father Roy was a Liverpool defender in the 1960s, who went on to be a hugely successful coach in the famous Anfield setup known as The Boot Room, helping win dozens of major trophies under Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish as the Reds dominated England and Europe.

Evans managed Liverpool between 1994 and 1998. He took over from Graeme Souness with the team in free-fall, and successfully steadied the ship.

However, despite two third place finishes in title challenges that fell short, he won just one major honour during his tenure - the League Cup in 1995 - with a painful FA Cup final defeat to Manchester United in 1996.

In 1998, Gerrard Houllier was appointed joint-manager alongside Evans, but the bizarre arrangement backfired and Evans resigned just a few months later.

In October last year, Stacey posted a photo of herself with Roy on his 74th birthday on Twitter, captioning the post: "Wishing my amazing Dad @Roy_Evo the happiest of birthdays. Love you so much hope you have a great day."
