Ex-soldier plans to buy new teeth and holiday with mum after winning £92k horse racing bet
Alan Roberts won £92,000 from betting on horses at Newmarket and Pontefract. He will spend some of his windfall on a holiday in Scarborough with his mother. The rest of the money will be spent on getting his teeth fixed. The horse Subastar won the first race, Desert Angel the second and Gale Force Maya the third. Saluti the fourth was the last, but he was disqualified for riding recklessly. Paul Dean won a similar amount at Cheltenham Festival. His jockey Paul Mulrennan was suspended for five days. It was a stewards inquiry.
