Our Staking Plan and Latest Results

Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 3:05 Ludlow - Barrakhov

It won’t be a case of who wins this race, rather who loses the least. Most of the runners in this have a glaring weakness, but Barrakhov might have had his fixed. First time up after a wind op might be the best time to catch him, as he gets to run off a chase mark 13lb lower than his hurdles one. That should be enough to see Barrakhov fall over the line against weak opposition.

Tip 2 - 4:00 Wetherby - Placenet

David Pipe’s Placenet was sent off at just 7/2 for his UK debut in November, clearly indicating that he’s well-thought of at home. He ran well to a point at Sandown a couple of weeks ago before fading late, so today’s drop in trip should suit. His mark has come down five pounds for that run, and with seven pound conditional Geroid Harney taking some more weight off, he looks set to run a big race.

Tip 3 - 4:50 Ludlow - Schmilsson

Will have to defy the top weight by some distance in this race but if in the same form as Sedgefield victory in a maiden hurdle earlier this month, Schmilsson could take a fair bit of beating. Made all the running to win by seven-and-a-half lengths. Comes up against plenty of unexposed rivals here but the soft ground should hold no worries for Schmilsson here.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch. You can check the ITV Racing schedule to see which races will be broadcast for free in the UK.
