The wait is finally over! The Las Vegas Grand Prix is upon us, following decades of negotiations and speculation and the prospect of the fastest cars on the planet whizzing through the fastest city in the world is whetting the appetite of every Formula 1 fan.

How the race itself pans out will be more interesting than the narrative surrounding the drivers, with Max Verstappen having cruised to his third consecutive F1 Driver’s Championship and it should be his race to lose again here in the city of lights.

F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Race Winner

In race 22 of the 2023 Formula One season, all of the biggest names on the grid will be battling for supremacy here in Las Vegas:

Max Verstappen – $1.44

Whilst world champion Max Verstappen is not a lover of street circuits historically, the prospect of being the first ever winner of a Las Vegas Grand Prix is sure to excite him.

With 3 world titles in the bag, the Dutchman is on a victory lap of the world, but he has still been able to pick up some impressive wins in recent weeks.

Having labelled the race a circus this week, Verstappen will be out to prove a point from the off here.

Charles Leclerc – $13

By contrast, one man who should feel at home on the street circuit here in Las Vegas is Charles Leclerc.

The man from Monaco has endured another rough season at Ferrari but very few of the issues he has encountered have been solely his fault and he will be out to prove a point in this one.

Las Vegas promises to be a race like no other and how Ferrari and Charles Leclerc would love to etch their name into F1 history in this one.

Lando Norris – $14

Whilst the 2023 season has been all about Max Verstappen, the emergence of Lando Norris as a genuine title contender does look to be a sign of things to come.

McLaren were not expected to have had the season they have had and a huge part of that has been down to the consistency Lando Norris has been able to display.

No race wins on the card is the only area for improvement this season and Las Vegas would be the perfect time to break the duck.

Sergio Perez – $19

The situation at Red Bull seems to all be going well in relation to Max Verstappen yet struggling badly from the perspective of Sergio Perez.

The enigmatic Mexican has really found this season tough going, with just a couple of race wins at the start of the campaign and he has dramatically fallen off the pace in recent weeks.

Being overtaken in the driver’s championship could be the end for Perez at Red Bull and he needs a performance here to secure his seat with the team for next season.

F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Top Six Finish

Race 22 of the season here in Las Vegas presents an opportunity for every driver to keep putting points on the board:

Lewis Hamilton – $1.40

Mercedes have battled away this season and a huge part of that has been the dogged determination of Lewis Hamilton.

The Brit has won the world title on 7 occasions and continues to be one of the key men to beat in every race.

Las Vegas would be a fitting city for Hamilton to pick up his first race win for a couple of seasons and he could well be in the mix from the off here.

George Russell – $1.55

Whilst Lewis Hamilton may love the conditions here in Las Vegas, the same perhaps can’t be said of George Russell.

The young Brit has had a decent season for Mercedes, without pulling up any trees and he could be starting to feel the pressure.

A few recent consecutive top 6 showings will be giving him a confidence boost and a good drive here in Vegas could be one in the eye for the dissenters.

Oscar Piastri – $1.90

The aforementioned success of McLaren has also been down to the emergence of Oscar Piastri.

The young Australian has taken to life in Formula 1 with ease and he looks to be fully ready to stamp his authority on the rest of the field.

Conditions here in Las Vegas are certainly a new question that he will have to answer but he looks to have the credentials to be in the mix here in Nevada from the outset.
