This SEC/Big 12 matchup will be incredibly fun to watch. Both of these teams have played well, with Texas winning two straight and Tennessee winning three straight games.

What makes this one all the more interesting is the difference in these two teams’ strategies. The Longhorns have been successful with a high-scoring offense while the Volunteers have been able to smother teams on defense.

Texas’ offense has gotten the better of TCU and Oklahoma State, both of whom have been strong on defense as well. Marcus Carr has found a way to score against virtually every type of defense in the nation, putting up 17.6 points per game.

Another Longhorns weapon for the Volunteers to try to defend is Timmy Allen, who has averaged 17 points on more than 60% shooting from the field in three of the past five games.

Despite the Volunteers’ solid defense, back the Longhorns on this one and look for them to cover the spread.

This will be another great SEC/Big 12 matchup as it is the fourth meeting between these two in the past four years. Kentucky has won two of the past three games in this rivalry but they’ll have their work cut out for them against a Jayhawks team that has been scoring with efficiency.

These two teams head into this one on opposite ends of the spectrum. Kansas is enduring an unusual three-game slide while Kentucky has strung together four straight wins.

The Jayhawks’ defensive troubles have been the main cause for the slip, as they’ve allowed opponents to score more than 80 points per game during the losing streak.

The Wildcats will have an advantage on the glass as the Jayhawks are relatively undersized and have been giving up nearly 11 offensive rebounds a game.

Both teams have struggled a bit on defense this season, though. Kentucky has been unable to protect the paint and Kansas has had some difficulty defending the perimeter.

Given the defensive struggles, look for Kansas to stop the slide and pair it with an over bet here as this one will have no shortage of offense.
