Upsets weren’t plentiful in Week 9 as Oklahoma was the only AP Top 10 team to fall, meaning extra chaos is on deck in Week 10.

Texas survived its opening game without Quinn Ewers in blowout fashion, defeating BYU 35-6. The Longhorns eased redshirt freshman Maalik Murphy into his first start by leaning on the rushing attack 35 times for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

It also helped that the Cougars mustered only six points and turned it over three times, masking a below-average performance from Murphy. The 19-year-old went 16/25 passing for 170 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.

Murphy must step up vs. a Kansas State team that has found its stride. After starting 3-2, the Wildcats have won three straight by an average of 32 points. However, K-State has faced inferior opponents in each victory.

Texas and Kansas State played in a highly entertaining game last season that went down to the wire. The Longhorns led by 21 points in the third quarter until the Wildcats stormed back to trim the deficit to a touchdown, but Texas ultimately held on to win.

We predicted Georgia to fall last weekend and were proven wrong when the Bulldogs trounced Florida 43-20. Despite that, we’re doubting the Bulldogs again this weekend vs. a Missouri squad with loads of offensive firepower.

Brady Cook’s 2,259 passing yards ranks 15th in FBS, and 905 yards have gone to Luther Burden, who has the fifth-most receiving yards. The Bulldogs must also account for Cody Schrader, who has the second-most rushing yards in the SEC.

Moving the ball is no small task against a Georgia defense that gives up the seventh-fewest points per game but has yet to face an offense of Missouri’s caliber. With 486 yards of offense and five touchdowns, the Bulldogs didn’t miss a beat last week in game one without Brock Bowers.

Scoring will be abundant in this SEC East clash.

There’s no doubt Kansas is riding high into a letdown spot in Ames on Saturday night. Jayhawks fans flooded the field in Week 9 after topping No. 6 Oklahoma thanks to a game-winning touchdown with less than a minute remaining.

Iowa State is back on track after a rocky start to the year, rattling off three consecutive wins heading into the Kansas matchup. The Cyclones have never been known for having an explosive offense, but ISU has averaged 28 points in its last five games.

Expect another big game from Matt Campbell’s crew against a Jayhawks defense that allows the fifth-most points in the Big 12. Kansas is particularly susceptible vs. the rush, meaning a big day is in store for Iowa State ball carriers.
