Syracuse Looking to Climb into NCAA Bubble Talk
Syracuse is looking to bounce back after two consecutive tough losses at the hands of Virginia Tech and North Carolina.
Syracuse is still eyeing its first high-profile win, holding them back from any NCAA Tournament consideration as it currently stands. Cuse has been able to hang around with the league’s best – we’ll see if that is once again the case for tonight’s showdown.
Syracuse Trying to Seek Revenge
We alluded to the first matchup above, where Virginia outlasted Syracuse, 73-66, in the first week of January.
Virginia was lethal from beyond the arc, cashing in on 12 three-pointers against Syracuse’s 2-3 zone. Although UVA may have caught a hot hand at home that night, regression may not kick in for this team that is 21st in all of college basketball in 3-point percentage, making 38.2% of their attempts.
If Syracuse has any chance at pulling off the upset, they will need to limit UVA’s production from beyond the arc, as well as limit their second-chance opportunities on the glass.
