Fann: Surveying the Mariners top 3 options to complete their outfield

The MLB offseason is just beginning. Seattle has already signed Teoscar Hernández from Toronto Blue Jays. They need to sign another outfielder. Julio Rodríguez plays center field, so there's a question mark in left. Fann has picked three options that make the most sense for the Mariners.

The Seattle Mariners are looking for a new outfielder. Brandon Nimmo is the top free agent outfielder not named Aaron Judge. He's had a batting average of at least .274 in each of his last three seasons. Juan Hernández is a more power-driven player.

Mitch Haniger is a free agent outfielder. He's been injured three of the last four seasons, but he's still a good player. Seattle should bring him back. Haniger is an All-Star in 2018. He can play in a DH rotation with Hernández and Jesse Winker. His reputation as a leader and a fan favorite makes him valuable. Other free agents include Joey Gallo, Kevin Kiermaier, Andrew Benintendi, Adam Duvall, A.J. Pollock, David Peralta and Wil Myers.

Sam Haggerty, Taylor Trammell and Jarred Kelenic are the top three options for Seattle's outfield. The team needs to sign a middle infielder. The need to buy a shortstop or second base is more pressing than buying an outfielder. Seattle has limited minor league assets following the Luis Castillo blockbuster. Marco Gonzales, Chris Flexen, Winker and potentially Kelen are potential trade chips.
