Favorites To Win The 2022 FCS National Title, Ranked 24-1

The list of the favorites to win the 2022 FCS national championship is not a ranking of 24 best teams in the playoffs. It's a list about matchups.

Davidson has made three straight playoffs out of the non-scholarship Pioneer Football League. The Wildcats play at Richmond this weekend. Richmond's defense allows 120.2 rushing yards per game.

Paxton DeLaurent has been injured and Geno Hess has carried the load for SEMO this season. SEMo is going to Missoula and getting a win is a tall task.

Gardner-Webb lost to ranked Elon and Mercer this season. They also lost 45-14 to Mercer and allowed 40 points to Bryant and 35 points in Big South victories. EKU scores 35.7 points per game.

Delaware is ranked 21st in the FCS. Saint Francis is a team that went 9-2 and lost by 10 at Richmond.

UND has the toughest first-round draw, going to a Weber State team that was just outside of getting a seed.

EKU is ranked 19th in the list of favorites to win the 2022 FCS National Championship. EKKu plays Gardner-Webb in their first-round game. They play William & Mary the following week.

Favorites to win the 2022 FCS National Title are New Hampshire, ranked 18th, and Fordham, who are ranked 24th. UNH is hosting Fordam in a 50/50 game. After that, UNh plays Holy Cross.

Southeastern Louisiana University is hosting Idaho in the playoffs. The Lions haven't performed well against teams from the Big Sky and CAA.

Delaware shouldn't overlook Saint Francis in the opening round. The Blue Hens should win if their offense does enough to complement their strong defense. After that, Delaware will play SDSU.

Richmond has the most favorable first-round matchup vs. Davidson. Richmond then travels to play No. 2 seed Sac State. Sac is 0-2 in the last two fall playoffs.

Elon plays Furman in the FCS National Championship game. The winner will play UIW.

Holy Cross is the No. 9 seed in the 2022 FCS National Championship bracket. Holy Cross will play either UNH or a rematch against Fordham.

Samford is ranked No. 8 in the FCS and is the 6th seed. They play either Idaho or SLU in second round. QB Michael Hiers has been awesome this season with 3,290 yards, 35 TDs, and three interceptions.

Weber State was just outside of getting a seed. Weber State plays at home and has the secondary to slow down UND's attack. If Weber beats UNd, it will play Montana State. Montana beat Weber 43-38 earlier this season.

Elon, Furman and Incarnate Word are in the same pod. Elon and Furmen can give UIW a good game. UIw is ranked No. 7 and is the favorite to win the 2022 FCS National Title. Lindsey Scott Jr. is having a special year as the Walter Payton Award frontrunner.

William & Mary is the 5 seed in the NCAA tournament. The Tribe can run the ball and play sound defense. W&M could play EKU or Gardner-Webb in second round. If Weber beats Montana State, W & M could face them in quarterfinals.

Montana State is ranked 4th in the FCS and is the favorite to win the 2022 national championship. The Bobcats could face Big Sky rival Weber State in second round. They could also face W&M in quarters. In the semis they could play SDSU, who has the No. 1 rushing defense and an offense that can hurt you in multiple ways.

Sacramento State is ranked No. 3 in the FCS rankings.

Sac State is ranked No. 1 in the FCS and is favorites to win the 2022 national title. They beat Montana, Idaho, Weber State, and UC Davis this year. Their attendance was 15,502 fans during the regular season.

Sac State is playing better defensively and on offense. The Hornets are in a challenging quarter of the bracket. They play Richmond, Elon, Furman and UIW. A potential semifinal against NDSU will be a battle. The history repeats itself in the NCAA football championship bracket and I need to see a Big Sky team beat NSDSU before I call it happening.

Favorites to win the 2022 FCS National Championship are North Dakota State, ranked 24-1. NDSU has lost a lot of players to injury, notably starting center Jalen Sundell, starting RT Mason Miller, NFL Draft prospect TE Noah Gindorff, All-American FB Hunter Luepke and All American DT Eli Mostaert. The Bison also lost three contributors to the transfer portal: CB Marques Sigle, WR DJ Hart and RB Dominic Gonnella.

The Bison team may not have the same firepower as the 2018 or 2019 squads, but they still won the natty last year. The team lost too many players and has a new coaching staff.
