North Dakota beat Northern Iowa 29-27 in the MVFCS game. Tommy Schuster completed 20 of 23 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

Montana (Big Sky) and South Dakota State (MVFC) are tied at one win apiece in the Big Sky-MVC Challenge. Montana beat South Dakotas 24-7, while SDSU beat UC Davis 24, 22.

Weber State's defense was outstanding in a 35-7 win at Utah State. Lindenwood won 21-20 at Houston Baptist. Demeatric Crawford's five TD passes powered Youngstown State past Dayton 49-16. Samford managed only 128 offensive yards in being shut out 33-0 at defending FBS national champion Georgia. Jacksonville State became the 1st 3-1 team in FCS, winning 34-3 at Murray State, while Sam Houston fell 10- 3 at home to Northern Arizona. Eastern Washington’s potent offense was held to 87 passing yards and 187 total offensive yard in 70-14 loss at Oregon. Montana State”s top four running backs have sustained injuries.
