Five clubs in transfer tussle for Man Utd breakthrough star as they eye loan move a day after stunning friendly showing

FIVE clubs are set to battle it out to sign wonderkid Noam Emeran on loan from Manchester United, according to reports.

The 20-year-old shone as the Red Devils beat Leeds 2-0 in Oslo on Thursday.

French starlet Emeran replaced Amad Diallo after 57 minutes, and didn't take long to make an impression.

He opened the scoring on 67 minutes, before fellow youngster Joe Hugill made it two.

United fans loved his cameo, raving about him on social media.

And plenty of other clubs have taken notice.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, five clubs have already entered the race to sign Emeran on loan.

Championship duo Coventry and Sunderland are among the teams looking to sign the forward.

The latter experienced great success with Red Devils star Diallo last term.

United's 21-year-old winger scored 14 goals for the Black Cats, helping Tony Mowbray's side reach the play-offs.

Coventry also reached the play-offs - painfully losing out in the final on penalties to Luton.

Emeran is also set to have offers from abroad.

Ligue 1 side Strasbourg are claimed to be interested in signing him on loan.

While Anderlecht are named as one of a gaggle of Belgian sides to be interested in Emeran.

And Dutch side Vitesse could look to bring him to the Eredivisie.

United boss Erik ten Hag was complimentary of Emeran and fellow youngster Hugill after their showing in Oslo.

The Dutchman, 53, said: "They’re coming in and it's a big moment when you are coming up in the squad, in the first team.

"You deserve game time because over long years you work for it.

"And then that moment in a very good and nice stadium, with a good crowd, and in such ambience they're coming in and then score and win the game.

"That's very good and nice."

The Red Devils are next in action on Wednesday, when they take on Lyon at Murrayfield.
