Five new signings for the Hurricanes as 2023 squad named
The Hurricanes have named their 38-man squad for the 2023 DHL Super Rugby Pacific season. Four players are in line to make their debut. Dan Sinkinson, Kini Naholo, Brett Cameron and Riley Higgins are new signings. Wellington's Riley Higgens and Peter Lakai sign their first professional contracts with the Hurricanes. The competition kicks off on February 25. The squad is maintained from 2022. It is the first year of the new Super rugby competition. There is plenty of competition among the outside backs. They include Waikato's Dan sinkins and Taranaki's Kinsin.
Owen Franks, Tyrel Lomax, Tevita Mafileo, Xavier Numia, Pouri Rakete-Stones, Asafo Aumua, Dane Coles, Jacob Devery, Domic Bird, James Blackwell, Caleb Delany, Justin Sangster, Ardie Savea, Devan Flanders, Tekamaka Howden, Brayden Iose, Tyler Laubscher, and Reed Prinsep are the players named in the 2023 squad.
