Flames' Sutter Not Impressed with PTO Forwards Milano & Eakin
Calgary Flames have two forwards on professional tryout offers (PTOs) in Sonny Milano and Cody Eakin. Neither has impressed head coach Darryl Sutter. They may not be able to earn contracts for the 2022-23 season. They are seen as a fourth-line centre and a faceoff specialist.
Flames' Sutter is not impressed with PTO forwards Milano and Eakin. Both players have played in three preseason games and have not scored any points. The clock is ticking and the roster deadline is on Monday. There are 15 forwards remaining in the Flames' camp. Milana, Einarson and Dustin Wolf are the only players who have a guaranteed spot. They are on the bubble. Kevin Rooney is a possibility to earn a spot if he plays well against the Seattle Kraken. He played 12:46 minutes in ice time. It is possible that at least five players will be released before the deadline.
