Calgary Flames Can't Keep Milano After Another Dud, Can They?

Calgary Flames beat Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Monday night. Andrew Mangiapane, Nazem Kadri, Blake Coleman, Mikael Backlund, Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin were the best players on the Calgary team. Sonny Milano's PTO contract is probably not going to be renewed.

Milano hasn't seen much time with the top six forwards since early in camp. He has skill and upside, but it doesn't look like he fits into the Calgary Flames mould. Cody Eakin seems to be a better bet of the two PTOs up front.  

Michael Stone scored for the third time in the preseason. Stone is one of the Calgary Flames tryout players who are hoping to make the opening-night roster.

Calgary Flames can't keep Sonny Milano after another bad performance.

Tanev, Stone, Kadri, Mangiapane and Hanifin scored for Calgary Flames in their preseason game. Kevin Rooney, Blake Coleman and Coleman scored in the third period. Matty Beniers scored a goal for the Kraken. Jacob Markstrom made a save.

Radim Zohorna could be the opening-night lineup for the Calgary Flames. Adam Ruzicka, Brett Ritchie, Cody Eakin and Zhohrana would be fighting to avoid waivers by the end of camp.
