We’ve got Europa League and Europa Conference League action on Thursday night and we’re focusing on the 5:45pm matches – and first up is West Ham’s trip to Olympiakos.

The Hammers have won their two group games and they travel to Greece to face Olympiakos, who have drawn one and lost one of their two outings.

We expect West Ham to get at least a draw at Olympiakos, however, we reckon there’s more value in backing Over 2.5 Goals.

The selection has landed in all four of West Ham and Olympiakos’ Europa League group games. The Greek side’s matches are averaging 4.5 goals, while the Hammers’ tally is 3.5. We expect that trend to continue on Thursday.

Olympiakos Goalkeeper to Make 2 or More Saves

We’re expecting goals and plenty of action in this Group A showdown and we like the look of the Olympiakos Goalkeeper to Make 2 or More Saves.

West Ham will create plenty of chances and they’ve scored five times in their two European outings so far this campaign.

Even if David Moyes puts out a weaker side, the Hammers should have more than enough quality to test Olympiakos goalkeeper Alexandros Paschalakis.

Paschalakis has made three saves in both of Olympiakos’ Europa League games so far. He should be busy again.

Over 2.5 Goals

We’re heading from Greece to the Czech Republic now for Sparta Prague v Rangers in the Europa League.

All four sides in Group C are on three points after winning one and losing one of their first two matches. Rangers have Philippe Clement in charge now and he won his first game last weekend against Hibs, however, Sparta Prague are the favourites to secure three points on Thursday.

A Sparta Prague win makes sense considering they’ve won their last six at home but instead of predicting the result, we’re on Over 2.5 Goals, which looks a banker.

There have been three or more goals in six of Sparta Prague’s last eight games in all competitions and the selection has landed in their two Europa League group matches.

As for Rangers, Over 2.5 Goals has landed in their last five games in all competitions. The statistics back us up.

Like the Olympiakos v West Ham game, we’re expecting plenty of action in Prague – and that should lead to both goalkeepers being busy.

We expect Jack Butland to be especially busy so we’re backing the Rangers Goalkeeper to Make 2 or More Saves.

There’s more value in backing three or more saves but we’re playing it safe and sticking with two, which has landed in both of Rangers’ Europa League group stage games.

Butland made five saves against Real Betis and he followed that up with two saves in Rangers’ 2-1 defeat at Aris Limassol last time out.

It’s Europa Conference League time now and we’ve got Unai Emery’s high-flying Aston Villa side travelling to Dutch outfit Az Alkmaar.

Villa and Alkmaar are both on three points after winning one and losing one of their two group stage games so far – and there might not be much separating the sides on Thursday.

Emery’s men, who beat West Ham 4-1 on Sunday to leave them four points off the top of the Premier League, have won four of their last six and they’ve scored 14 times in that period.

Alkmaar, meanwhile, are second in the Eredivisie having won eight and drawn one of their nine games. Their goal tally in that period stands at 25.

Villa and Alkmaar are in fine form and they create plenty of chances. Backing Both Teams to Score is a no-brainer.

Over 2.5 Goals

We’re already on BTTS so adding in Over 2.5 Goals makes plenty of sense.

Villa and Alkmaar’s games are averaging four goals in their Europa Conference League group and we expect that to continue.

Both sides have plenty of quality and even if Emery fields a slightly weaker Villa team, they will have more than enough firepower to get on the scoresheet once or twice.
