Forgotten Premier League flop Jese caught up in row with team-mate at new club just seven days after transfer

EX-REAL MADRID and Paris Saint-Germain star Jese Rodriguez has landed himself in hot water at his new club just seven days after joining.

Jese, 30, is no stranger to making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

And the Spaniard has done so once again, albeit through no fault of his own, after being caught up in a row over his shirt number.

The Stoke flop signed for Brazilian Serie A side Coritiba last week after becoming a free agent following his exit from Italian club Sampdoria in June.

However, AS have reported how Coritiba star Alef Manga - the self-proclaimed owner of the shirt number - furiously reacted to the reveal.

Manga, who has been loaned to Cypriot outfit Pafos, took to the comments section underneath Coritiba's Instagram post of Jese's shirt number.

There he typed: "It already has a name. 'I'."

The 28-year-old was sent on loan after being involved in a betting and match fixing scandal.

According to Globesporte, Manga acknowledged his hand in a plot after admitting he would have received £7,300 for getting a yellow card in a game against América-MG in 2022.

Jese is yet to be registered by Coritiba following his transfer.

He was once the man tipped to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

Injury heavily impacted his time at the Bernabeu and he soon found himself joining PSG.

But once again he failed to make the cut and was sent on a number of loan moves to the likes of Las Palmas and Stoke.

His spell at the Parc des Princes came to an end in 2020 after his contract was terminated.

It came after he was embroiled in a sex scandal when he was accused of cheating on his partner Aurah Ruiz with her model friend.

He was later pictured at a party in Gran Canaria ignoring social distancing rules during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The behaviour resulted in PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi suggesting he was detrimental to the club's reputation.
