Former Blues prospect Lemeki Namoa sentenced for involvement in Comancheros drug scheme
Lemeki Namoa was sentenced to 12 months of home detention for his part in a large-scale Comancheros-run methamphetamine supply scheme. Five years ago he was captain of Sacred Heart College's First XV rugby team and head prefect at the prestigious Auckland school. In 2019 he won development player of the year at Blues but in 2020 the club didn't re-sign him. He grew up with friends who would later join the Comanchesros motorcycle gang. His friend Seiana Fakaosilea was the acting national commander of Comainsros. Faksula and others were found guilty of conspiring to import a massive 600kg of methamphetamine into New Zealand from South Africa.
