Former Georgia quarterback JT Daniels transferring to Rice

JT Daniels is leaving Georgia for Rice. He transferred to West Virginia in the spring. Stetson Bennett took over as the starting quarterback at Georgia. He played in 10 games last season and completed 61.2% of his attempts for 2,107 yards with 13 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. The Mountaineers' offensive coordinator/quarterback coach Graham Harrell served in same role at USC when Daniels played there. Daniels will have at least one more year of eligibility and could have two if he gets a medical redshirt from his 2019 season at California.
