Formula 1: Max Verstappen looking to avoid falling victim to strange trend

The preseason favorite to win the Formula 1 world championship has not won either one of the last two titles. Max Verstappen is the current world champion. He has won 25 of 44 races since the start of 2021 season. Lewis Hamilton was the preseason favourite in 2021 but he lost the title to Ver stappden.

No driver has ever won season opener and gone to the title since Nico Rosberg in 2016. The Bahrain Grand Prix is scheduled to get the 2023 Formula 1 season underway on Sunday, March 5.
