Spurs travel to Fulham in a reduced weekend of Premier League action

Ange Postecoglou celebrates Tottenham's win over Aston Villa

It’s an all-London affair as north take on west in one of the weekend’s few Premier League fixtures, as Spurs travel to Fulham.

Tottenham head into this one off the back of a resounding 4-0 away win over Aston Villa, which signalled a stark warning of their goal to make it into those coveted Champions League spots. A win at Craven Cottage would see Postecoglou’s players leapfrog Villa into fourth.

Despite being neither relegation threatened nor fighting for European football, the inevitability of mid-table obscurity will not see Fulham roll over. Marco Silva continues to work wonders - the Cottagers have won three of their last five, including impressive wins over Man United and Brighton.

Spurs have the motivation - with no other competitions left to compete in securing a top four place is their only aim. Expect them to be nothing other than relentless.

Fulham vs Spurs Prediction

Spurs are finally back at full complement. With the players lost to the combination of injuries and AFCON and Asian Cup hangovers now back in the fold, last week’s victory at Villa was a clear statement of intent.

The attacking riches Postecoglou has to call upon would please any manager, but he’ll be punching the air over Heung-min Son’s return to form with two strikes in two, and £60m man Brennan Johnson finally proving his worth with three in his last six.

Fulham will have to compete with Spurs finally having their impressive early-season back four together. No player in the Fulham squad has managed more than five goals this season, though Rodrigo Muniz has managed five in his last six.

All points in one direction: a Spurs win, and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who disagrees.

Score Prediction: 3-1 Spurs (14/1 on bet365)

Fulham vs Tottenham Team News

  • Raul Jimenez may be fit enough to make the matchday squad for Saturday's welcome of Tottenham.

  • Other than the Mexican striker, Marco Silva has no further injury concerns.

  • Joao Palhinha should return to the side here.

  • Micky van de Ven came off with a suspected hamstring issue shortly after the break in Sunday's 4-0 win at Aston Villa and misses out.

  • That means Radu Dragusin should come in to make his full debut for Tottenham.

  • Richarlison will be assessed but Ryan Sessegnon, Fraser Forster and Manor Solomon continue to miss out.

Fulham vs Tottenham Tips

My first tip is to look no further than the man in form, Rodrigo Muniz. A player on a goal run is hard to stop. At 11/5 (Paddy Power) to score anytime, he’s also got fairly decent odds.

Beyond the myriad of options in the Spurs goalscorers market, I would also have a look at the winning margin. I think this one might be a case of how many. Tottenham to win by two goals will fetch you 5/1 on bet365.
