Philip Billing to Have One or More Shots on Target

Bournemouth took a giant stride towards safety with their win over Southampton on Thursday night and can seal the deal with another away win at Leeds on Sunday. Leeds, on the other hand, are right in the thick of the relegation dogfight after collecting just one point from their last four games. Bournemouth’s resurgence under Gary O’Neil has been remarkable, considering almost everyone had condemned them to relegation following their 9-0 defeat against Liverpool at the start of the season.

Central to that resurgence has been the form of Philip Billing. He has scored seven goals from midfield and he’s played a crucial role in Bournemouth moving up the Premier League table. Billing attempts 1.1 shots per game in the league – the fourth-most of any Bournemouth player – and is good odds to land just one shot on target on Sunday afternoon.

Joao Palhinha to Commit Two or More Fouls

Joao Palhinha has been one of the best signings of the season and has helped ensure that Fulham finally end their endless yoyoing between the Premier League and Championship. The Portuguese midfielder has been combative all season and is likely to be drawn into a few fouls against a slick Manchester City team that will dominate the ball on Sunday.

Palhinha averages 1.2 fouls per game – the third highest of any Fulham player – and that average is likely to rise against such a strong City outfit. Palhinha has received bookings in each of his last two appearances for Fulham and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him make a number of fouls on Sunday.

Erling Haaland to Score Two or More Goals

Erling Haaland broke the Premier League record for most goals in a 38-game season with his last-minute goal against Arsenal and he can now break the all-time record of 34 goals if he scores twice against Fulham on Sunday. Who would back against him doing it, considering the season he has had? Haaland has scored five goals in three league games since the international break and has scored in four of his last five away league appearances.

It would be surprising if Haaland failed to score against a Fulham side that has displayed signs that their season is winding down, but there is no value in backing the Norwegian striker to score anytime. There is every chance that Haaland breaks the all-time record by scoring twice on Sunday.

Aston Villa to Have Four or More Shots on Target

Manchester United wasted the chance to strengthen their grip on the top four by throwing away a two-goal lead at Tottenham and face another huge test when Aston Villa come to town on Sunday. Villa have been magnificent under Unai Emery and look like realistic contenders for Europa League football, even if Champions League football seems a tad optimistic.

However, if they are to have any chance of gatecrashing the top four, they simply have to beat United at Old Trafford on Sunday. With that in mind, Villa are likely to have a go and are good value to land at least four shots on David De Gea’s goal. United faced seven shots on target in their draw against Tottenham and six shots on target in their defeat to Newcastle at the beginning of the month, indicating that they tend to struggle against better opposition. Villa will almost certainly cause United problems on Sunday and David De Gea is likely to be kept busy.

Newcastle -1

Newcastle have shown excellent resolve to bounce back from a crippling 3-0 defeat at Aston Villa to hammer Spurs and Everton in the space of four days. Eddie Howe’s side now seem a shoe-in for a Champions League place and will look to strengthen their position on Sunday when they take on a Southampton side that is almost certainly heading for the drop.

Southampton’s midweek defeat to Bournemouth seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for their survival chances, especially after their last-minute equaliser was ruled out after a VAR check. They are likely to edge closer to relegation on Sunday afternoon.
