Germany′s women struggle to overcome tough Israeli defense

Germany's women beat Israel 1-0 in their third World Cup qualifying match for the 2023 Women's World cup in Australia and New Zealand. It was the first time Germany played against Israel. The match took place on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Martina Voss-Tecklenburg's team is visiting Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial. Israel's chances came mainly on counterattacks. Germany dominated the second half but couldn't score. Svenja Huth scored the only goal. Israel goalkeeper Amit Beilin was excellent. He saved Sarah Däbritz's penalty.

The German national women's soccer team is in Israel. They are visiting the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial on Friday. The team will then visit the Old City of Jerusalem. On Saturday, they fly back to Germany to prepare for the return match against Israel on Tuesday.
