Glorious Goodwood Wednesday racing tips: Baaeed to replicate Frankel retirement route this year and is odds-on for Sussex Stakes
Glorious Goodwood is a phenomenal flat racing festival set over five days in July and the second day of the event is approaching.
The first day was a great display of top class racing especially in the Goodwood Cup and today Baaeed takes the favouritism in the British classic today.

All eyes on Wednesday will be on the formidable Baaeed.
The top-rated horse in Europe as his glittering career is set to be capped off on a high later this season.
The Group 1 contest of the Sussex Stakes before heading to York next month in the Juddmonte International, following the same route as the great Frankel.
Baaeed has eight wins already to his name and at just four-years-old many would want to continue seeing this Sea The Stars colt continue winning races but as is often the case an early retirement to stud is safer, more effective for connections and can give a longer lasting impact to his legacy.

The Charles Hills-trained horse was just under five lengths behind Secret State in the King George V Stakes but now is 9lb better off with that rival.
The ground is still on the firm side of good and that will benefit the colt who's proven himself at this course before which is crucial here as it's a sharper track than most.

This Shadwell Estate horse is appealing for a few reasons but mostly it seems to be quite overpriced despite the trainer form.
Jim Crowley will take the reigns and has an astounding 38% win-rate and the horse he mounts has good form in Group 3 company and could be amongst the finish at a big price.
This Group 3 contest has Heredia as a solid favourite who also holds plenty of hope from jockey Sean Levey who tipped his ride on SBK and said: “She’s in very good form. She ran well enough I thought at Sandown on a track which maybe didn’t suit her. She’s still a filly we really like and I would have thought Goodwood over seven furlongs will really suit her. She shows lots of speed and travelled well at Sandown. Coming back to seven will be a plus. Goodwood suits horses who have a turn of foot and she definitely has that.”
Oscula will be ridden by William Buick again and has proven himself in group company twice now missing out last time by just a nose at Ascot at the weekend.
George Boughey is getting those group winners too so should enter calculations strongly.

He justified favouritism last time out in listed company to beat Cuban Mistress by over two lengths and a step up to a Group 3 should be a logical progression for this promising two-year-old.
He's up against some rivals that could also progress further but all signs point to Danny Muscutt leading him over the line first, with another tip boosted by a previous course win at Goodwood.
3.35: Sussex Stakes Betting Tip
Real World to place & tricast - 1st Baaed, 2nd & 3rd Chindit and Order Of Australia
As much as Baaeed is as close to a certainty as possible it's still not worth backing him at heavy odds-on prices and as the field is confirmed his price is likely to shorten even more.
Order Of Australia is always up there and should be amongst the first three to finish while Chindit is a huge price and could land a nice priced tricast.
He was just eight lengths behind Baaeed the last time they met in June and there's always a chance he could build on that Group 2 success last time out.
But don't rule out a big run from Andrew Balding's runner Alcohol Free who came back to form last time out.
The trainer has also been in great form recently and won on Tuesday with Sandrine in the Group 2.
Balding said on his blog on Betway: "Alcohol Free seems in great form. She won the race last year but it’s just a tough ask against Baaeed. She was obviously very good in the July Cup and bids to do something not many horses have. If she settles well early on, she could give Baaeed a run for his money."
