Thursday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct:

(All odds US)

Aqueduct:

Race 3: 10th@ 5.80/1

Race 4: SCRATCH

Race 7: SCRATCH

Well, we've had no rain since Monday early morning but Thursday’s opening day card at Aqueduct proper was taken off the turf. At least it was for Races 3 and 7. Two of our three selected races on the day. In Race 3, Charging was kept in despite being rained off the turf. Sped to the front and tired in the drive. We scratched from races 4 and 7.

The wait is OVER! It’s Breeders’ Cup weekend! The world’s best racehorses battle it out this year at Santa Anita racetrack for top honors in their respective divisions. As always, I’ll be handicapping all of the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup races all weekend. Five on Friday and nine on Saturday. Let’s make some MONEY!!!!

Santa Anita:

Race 9: Agate Road - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

The Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf is our last Grade 1 of the day and Agate Road is one I’ve been watching from his first start hoping he’d make it to the Breeders’ Cup. First time out they took his race off the turf and he missed it by a lip to a favored Chad Brown debut runner. Second time out, I loved him and he was so far back turning for home but came with an explosive rally for the maiden win. Last time out we had him in the Grade 2 Pilgrim where he was once again ridden confidently by Irad Ortiz and rallied late for the win. Sired by Quality Road out of a Grade 1 winning mare, Agate Road is entering this race with strong momentum. Top connections behind him along with the country’s leading rider make him a dangerous contender at his morning line 8/1.
