Shane Wright scored his first NHL goal against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night. The Canadiens had a 1-0 lead at the time. Wright was the fourth-overall pick at 2022 NHL Draft. He was selected by the Kraken. He had been a healthy scratch several times in his NHL career. Before his debut, Wright had scored four goals in five games for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the American Hockey League. His goal will help build his confidence.
