Matty Beniers was the first draft pick in Seattle Kraken history, going second overall in the 2021 Draft. Benier played for the Michigan Wolverines over the past two seasons, scoring 30 goals and 37 assists in 61 games at the collegiate level.

Shane Wright went fourth overall in the NHL draft. He was the consensus top choice until the week of the draft, but he didn't take the #1 spot on the Seattle Kraken prospects list. Wright played in OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs last season.

Wright is the second most popular prospect in the OHL after Beniers. He was named the captain of Kingston Frontenacs. Wright scored the series-winning goal in Game Six of the opening round series against the Oshawa Generals. Kingston were eliminated by the North Bay Battalion in second round.

Seattle drafted Jagger Firkus in the second round (35th overall) of the 2022 draft. Farkus scored 36 goals and 44 assists in 66 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors of WHL last season.

Firkus is a highly regarded prospect who plays for Seattle Kraken. NHL.com projects his debut for the Kraken during the 2025-26 season.

Ryker Evans was selected with the 35th overall pick in 2021. He was a two-year alternate captain for Regina Pats. Evans is expected to crack the Seattle roster in the 2023-24 season.

Evans is expected to report to the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL. He is no longer eligible for juniors. Evans has good poise with the puck and good movement skills.
