Grand National 2022: Glam racegoers brave the elements as race takes centre stage at Aintree
The Grand National is taking place at Aintree Racecourse at 5.15 pm today. The last time the Grand Nats were held there was in 2019, but last year's edition was held behind closed doors. This year the event is glamorous and well-known faces are already arriving. Paddy Pimblett, Jorgie Porter and Sir Kenny Dalglish are among the famous faces spotted. On Saturday the weather was bad, with hail storms and cold temperatures. 70,000 ticket holders came to the sold-out event. Snow Leopardess is the favourite to win this year. The favourite is Katie Rolston, 37, who came with her mother Cathy, 68.
