Grand National 2023: when it's on, where to watch and how to get tickets

The Grand National is always one of the most important dates in the British sporting calendar. This year’s Grand National is a particularly momentous one, being the 175th running of the National Hunt handicap steeplechase.

First run in 1839, the Grand National is not only a British horse racing institution - it also attracts a huge TV audience around the world. Around 10 million people in the UK watch the Grand National every year, with its global TV viewership estimated at about 500 million.

Last year, Noble Yeats - with final odds at 50/1 - won the race, with jockey Sam Waley-Cohen becoming the first amateur jockey to win the Grand National since 1990. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2023 Grand National.
