Grizzlies vs Heat Prediction

The Memphis Grizzlies invade the FTX Arena to do battle with the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in pretty good form as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after routing the Mavericks in a 104-88 road win on Monday. Desmond Bane led the team with 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Dillon Brooks and David Roddy each scored 19 points while Tyus Jones chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 37 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Mavericks in a closely contested first half, before they dominated the third quarter by 36-21 to pull away and set up the big win.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in pretty good form as they’ve won four of their last six games overall and they will be looking to maintain that momentum after sneaking past the Jazz in a 119-115 home win on Monday. Jimmy Butler led the team with 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Gabe Vincent and Tyler Herro each scored 18 points while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Heat shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they struggled to gain any separation from the pesky Jazz until the final 4:33 where they closed the game on a 10-4 run to escape with the narrow victory.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a home record above .600. The Heat are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600 and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-1 in the last eight meetings in Miami and the Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

The Grizzlies are shorthanded once again as Ja Morant, Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke are all out again, while the Heat are keeping an eye on Kyle Lowry who is questionable for this one. The Grizzlies have managed to keep winning games despite missing some key players, but it’s going to be tough to keep it going against this Heat team who have been on the rise lately. This should be a close one, but the Heat are only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record, so I’m leaning towards the shorthanded Grizzlies to take it to the Heat and pull off the minor upset in this spot.
