'Grow Some Balls, Juice Him Up': In Pre-Sentencing Letter, Prosecutors Say Tannuzzo Learned From Navarro Doping Program

Jorge Navarro was sentenced to five years in prison last December for his role in a horse-doping scheme. Navaro was a mentor to Thoroughbred trainer Michael Tannuzzo. Tannauzzi pleaded guilty in July to one count of drug adulteration and misbranding. He will be sentenced by a judge Mary Kay Vyskocil. In a pre-sentencing letter, prosecutors say Tanauzza obtained blood builders like Monkey from Cohen and sought PEDs from Navarro. They also say he assisted in the latter's doping program.
