Heat, Panthers both winning championships would score bettor $108,000

The Miami Heat and the Florida Panthers were the eighth seed in the NBA and NHL’s Eastern Conference, respectively. Both now stand on the precipice of a berth in their league’s version of a Final — the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final.

And if they also win it all, one bettor is set to score quite the dynamite payout on the “Florida Parlay.”

If both the Heat and Panthers — who have commanding leads in their respective Conference Finals series — win a championship next month, a bettor who bet on the underdogs of underdogs can possibly bank over $108,000.

That is, again, if he stays patient and doesn’t cash out before both potential championship wins. And, again, if the Heat and Panthers both successfully climb their league’s mountain.

At the moment, the Heat are now +260 to win this year’s NBA title after taking a stranglehold 3-0 series lead over the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Only the Denver Nuggets (-220) hold better odds.

Meanwhile, on the NHL’s Eastern side, the Panthers shocked the Carolina Hurricanes by taking both initial games in Raleigh. As a result, the Panthers are now +160 to win the Stanley Cup. Only the Las Vegas Golden Knights possess better odds.

Officially, on this Monday, there are five more wins to go for the Heat and six more wins to go for the Panthers. I wouldn’t necessarily hold my breath if I was this bettor, but kudos for putting themselves in this lucrative double No. 8 seed position.
